Is this something to do with VN?
« on: October 25, 2021, 05:31:59 PM »
Korean guy travels to VN and buys an iphone12.  Apple says it won't honor the warranty because it's tampered with.

Is this product in VN legit?

Apple is being sued by a San Francisco man for $1,383.13, the exact cost of his iPhone 12. He says the company refused to fix it while it was under warranty.

I don't know but VN actually has a good electronics culture, similar to chinese. All the pc and electronics market was always dominated by chinese snd some vietnamese folks.

Either the viet authorized seller tampered with it
Apple ITs in their stores are lying, lazy or greedy for money
Some issue with warranty being ineligible overseas

But the apple guy broke the SIM card tray so I feel like it should be reimbursed by that point. I hope the korean guy gets refunded and repaired.
