Tran Hung Dao statues in San Jose and Westminster
« on: September 11, 2021, 12:05:21 AM »
Why are there Tran Hung Dao statues in San Jose and Westmnister?

Tran Hung Dao was a patriot who protected Dai Viet from foreign invaders. Who fought bravely against Yuan China, at the time was a world supapowaaaa. VNCH were puppets for world super powers, they help foreigners to kill and bombed Vietnamese to the stone age, destroying our ancestors temples, pagodas, and lives.

So.. Tran Hung Dao is not the right representation. The statue should be an American GI with big diccc fuccing a VNCH hooker. G.I represents the white man's domineering super power. VNCH hooker taking the big diccc repres5ent Diem's bu cu regime. Because you guys are a bunch of hookers fuccced in the azz by the whiteman.

The US is no longer our enemies, they've been kind, friendly, fair. So ofcourse we love them. You POS. Hatred is for the weakmibded and miserables. Jesus says forgive and love your enemy. Love is why we're no longer enemies.

Jesus says.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.John 19:11

Otoh
You Chinese POS are making war with us. Okay? Stealing our islands at sea, shooting and killed Vietnamese fishermen, and building military bases in Cambodia. You sent a clear message that you are still our enemy.

If a thief is found breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there shall be no bloodguilt for him,
Romans 13:4

Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Matthew 26:52-54

So it is 100000% just for us to hate, kill, and murder Chinese out if self defense. God says so.

Well..that's a very good question queerous one.

The simple answer is that Tran Hung Dao fought for the people of VN just like VHNC fought the Chinese.

While VCs fought for CHina.  The Deng said that VCs will fight to the last man for China.  And the Ho repeatedly stated that China and Vietnam were comrades and brothers.  So you see queerous one, VCs suck Chinese deek very long time, that's how VCs get stinking mouth.

My house in VN is within walking distance from the THD temple that's across from the Le Van Tam park, and I used to go there all the time as a kid to catch kiến cụ (jumble-size ants) for the ant farm. Trần Hưng Đạo is considered a saint in VN as he's worshipped in many temples there. Usually around Tet, the temple is packed with visitors, and after lighting incenses and offering prayer, me and my cousins often brought home some leaves from trees around the temple for extra blessing. The marble THD statues that they have in Cali look like smaller reproductions of the much larger one on Me Linh park next to the Saigon river. The creator of that statue later immigrated to the US, and was also commissioned to do the famous Vietnam War Memorial at the Universal shopping Center on Bellaire in Houston. You can see his other work here :

Mean while, the famous THD statue at Me Linh park was erected in the 1960s, and in my opinion, it also has the most accurate facial features of VN's most famous general. Trần Hưng Đạo was born in Nam Dinh, an hour and a half drive south of Hanoi, and the temple there still has a contemporary statue of him from the 13th century. Ancient relics from temples usually survive intact from the passage of time as sacred places are often protected from social disturbances throughout history.

Quote

Trần Hưng Đạo passed away at 72 year old, and requested to be buried in an unmarked grave beneath one of his favorite trees. Extremely popular with peers and soldiers alike due to his generosity, Trần Hưng Đạo was also fluent in Chinese and had read much of Song's China military treaties before composing his own for Dai Viet in preparation for the Mongol invasions. He stressed the extreme importance of archery skill in battles and prioritized this area for constant practice among the troops.

Another relevant figure in 13th century VN is King Trần Nhân Tông, the third monarch of the Trần dynasty, who was also Trần Hưng Đạo's uncle. He became a monk later in life and found the Trúc Lâm Buddhist sect that's still exist today. On the Yen Tu Mountain (Núi Yên Tử) there's also a contemporary statue of him and you can see the physical resemblance ( especially in the nose area) to our favorite hero.
