Well..the Trung sisters were the noble class of the Lac Viet people.  The Lac Viet people were tied to the Don Son culture.  So I guess what ever figurine or motives of the people back then would represent their dress.

It's said in historical accounts that the Trưng sisters worn their husbands' uniforms into battles, and you can see that in the Tiếng Trống Mê Linh opera here:

Trưng Nhị is the one standing on the right (with the Usekh/Wesekh collar being worn around her neck.) That collar was traditionally worn by Egyptian pharaohs but was also given as a reward for valor or distinguished service. It's quite large and normally covers the whole upper chest area, extending all the way around the shoulders as you can see in the photo. The collars in the drawing that you posted seems a tad too small to be an Usekh, and look more like a necklace instead. The candle holder in the Dong son artifacts was also depicted as wearing an Usekh as well.

As for all other clothing articles of the time, check out this opera as it's really educational in term of clothing fashion back then. They look right to me. You'll also get the feel of what life was like in AD 40 at the time of the Trưng sisters' rebellion. The transcript for the opera's dialogues is below the video.

Another thing I would like to add is that historical accounts, all over the world through time, were traditionally delivered through oral traditions, and they're very different from reading facts from history textbooks. In the oral tradition of story telling, the listeners get to experience not just the factual informations, but also the emotions that accompany those details. For example, in the Tiếng Trống Mê Linh opera, you'll get to feel the anguishes of ancient lac ppl as well as the gravity of a situation where was so much oppression by the Han overlord toward their way of life. The main factor for the AD 40 rebellion has to do with confiscation and melting of Bronze drums, which are sacred to ancient Vietnamese. Those Dong Son drums (as we know of them today) served as instruments for many types of ceremony rituals, and also to call forth rain during dry seasons. Notice the sun emblem in the middle of the drum below, surrounded by beautifully carved ibises at the perimeter.
