Has anyone gotten their ears cleaned in VN?

Apparently it's been done for ages.  I would hate to see what happens when I scare the ear picker like I scare my cat.

the thing is that there is no certification but you can bet that any ear cleaning establishment that has been around for more than 10 years or so should provide plenty of assurance to you that they won't puncture a tympanic membrane or catatonize a cochlea.  As with all things, God gives us two ears so losing one is disheartening but not the end of the world.

I've had my ears cleaned in VN once. I think they were using some kind of a curvy rubber thing on a stick to get my ear wax out.  I saw that he was scraping a lot of stuff from my ear and scrape it on a post. Probably because I've never cleaned out my ear.  Plus, someone threw sand at a beach at my ear and I couldn't get the sand out. But I recommend anyone who hasn't had their ears cleaned out to travel to VN and get it cleaned.

There are 7 instruments to clean the ear (I think there's a screwdriver in there).

it's really is a bad habit. Better not poke around in there. If you have wet earwax. No need at all to do anything ever. If you have dry earwax, overtime it can build up. If that's the case then use a solution you can buy in the drug store to flush it out.

I got it done a few times.  Felt good but that glaring lamp they used can blind you.

I don’t trust anyone to put anything in my ear.

It’s embarassing but one time I had ear pain for a few days. Went to the doctor, turned out there was a tiny piece of cotton stuck in there. A bad habit of mine to scratch my ear with cotton.

I think most Asians have the dry flaky earwax and it builds up over time.  It's good to go and have it removed regularly, either to a doctor or a street-side vendor in VN.  A doctor might charge $1000 though, so I would recommend to go to a Vietnamese street-side specialist right next to a bicycle tire repair shop who charges $1.

It could get pretty gross but I heard people say it feels good.
