Should we have a VPOP section?

Considering that most Vietnamese kids would be interested in Vpop and exploring Vpop.

The forum is too cluttered.  There are too many categories.  Most great forums work due to simplicity. The best improvement to the interface would be to take out all the other Ethnic group specific categories and just label them together as Other Asian

VPOP and Asian POP should be in one category together.  You can create more based on demand.  The most popular posts will simply get to the top anyways.  Alternatively, VPOP can be combined with Fashion and Beauty.  This forum is still small so it is useless to separate into so many sections.  Someone who likes Thaipop posting in Thai pop will get zero replies.  If they post in VPOP then yeah they will get at least some views.  The whole point of this forum at this stage of development is to optimize interaction.

These four categories below should change:

Recreation and fine living => Foods, Design and Fine Living

love and relationships- this one should be deleted since it can go in other categories

health and beauty => VPOP, Fashion, Beauty

education and career =>  Education, Relationships, Travel

The sections that draw the most interest should be placed on it's own category and up front and expand it.  So, if VPOP and entertainment is hot right now then it should be at the forefront.

I can reduce the cultural section.

science philosophy etc should be deleted also.  People likely post those topics in education anyways. VPOP should be only one category rather than standing alone.  Maybe in 10 years when this forum becomes huge then VPOP stands alone.  At this point of development it optimizes participation by sharing with other categories.  VPOP, fashion and beauty go together very well.  People always nitpick some artist´s style anyways.  Then you have people criticizing hair and make ups...

The lounge should be at the top. Followed by For sales. Great sites started out catering to a specific group.  There is no need to try to please everyone.

Well...the current format is not drawing in new users.   I think young new users would be more in tune with entertainment.  If they look and see that we are Son Tung experts then they would consider joining.

new format looks clean but the problem with the topics in the lounge is that it is either too broad, Recreation and Fine living, or two specific, Love and Relationships are the same thing.  Also, Career is misspelled.  Try my suggestions, they strike a precarious balance.  I did not pull those out of my azz but from personal experience with successful popular sites.  VPOP is still a Vietnamese thing.  Most of us here are overseas and overseas Vietnamese, 90% of them, have no idea who the heck this son tung guy is.

If you do insist on keeping VPOP as separate then put it between the lounge and heritage for easy access.

How about an entertainment section and we have VPOP as a category.

Then we can have block of sample music and they can select sample songs from a list and it will automatically play at their selection.
