Why Philippines´fertility rate still so high?
« on: November 13, 2017, 08:52:50 PM »
Officially it is 2.9 but I highly doubt that.  It´s more like 3.7 or 3.8.  Indonesia is Muslim so super strict about abortion and it is only 2.4, how is that possible?

this might sound as insulting but I think it has something to do with the welfare system and government policies.

In the U.S the welfare system promotes single motherhood resulting in over-producing in the poorer demographic. The government gives money to single moms, so the more kids they have the more checks they get... along with other benifits such as parental leaves, subsidized housing, and jobs offers. This is why women in the ghetto have dozen of kids even if they're jobless and in reality can't take care of themselves. Philippine also have a generous welfare stipulation(RA 8972 ) for single mothers that provides housing, jobs, and other means to survival that these people otherwise don't get.

Japan also encourages people to have kids to replace their aging work force, but Japanese men have become herbivore and not interested in sex at all. I guess Japanese boys saw how hard their father worked and giving the woman all the money... and if a woman initiates divorce she can take everything from him, thus they have no desire to be a workaholic deadbeat dad like their father.

That map doesn’t show the whole story. Look at the rest of the world.

This one is from the CIA world fact book.

If you want to be like Africa you need to produce a dozen litters.

I don´t believe subsidies in the Philippines is that high.  I watched the whole series on Manila slums and most of them can barely get by.  So for the majority of Filipinos they are basically on their own.  That doesn´t really explain why most of them have at least 4 kids..

In 2015--53% of all children born in Philippines were illegitimate. More than half of the babies were born out of wedlock to single parents.

As a single mom in the Philippines, you are entitled to certain benefits, as stated in the Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000 (RA 8972).

Quote
There are plenty of Filipino single mothers. You find that one out fairly early in the peace when you have anything to do with the Philippines and Filipina girls. Lots of single Filipina ladies with kids. And in most cases, the biological father isn’t in the picture and doesn’t really care very much. It’s very unusual to find an involved Filipino father of a child when the couple didn’t marry. He sows his wild oats (as all good macho men do), and walks away from anything resembling responsibility.

If you are a single mom whose income falls below the poverty threshold set by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), you may request for an assessment from a Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) worker in your area to determine your eligibility for assistance.

You may then inquire regarding availment of the following services from the corresponding agencies:

Health Services (DOH)
Educational Services (CHED, TESDA)
Housing (NHA)
Parental Leave (Employer, DOLE, CSC)
A single mom whose income is above the poverty threshold shall be entitled to limited benefits, such as:

Flexible work schedule – The right to vary your arrival and departure time at work, provided that this does not affect company and individual productivity, and does not affect the core work hours defined by your employer.
No work discrimination – Employers are prohibited from discriminating against single moms with respect to terms and conditions of employment in relation to her status.
Parental leave – A seven-day leave granted to solo parents, which may be availed of continuously or on a staggered basis, given the following circumstances:
To attend to personal milestones of children such as birthdays, graduation, and similar events
To perform parental obligations such as enrollment, attendance of school programs, PTA meetings, etc.
Attend to the medical, social, spiritual and recreational needs of children
Other relevant circumstances where the physical presence of a parent is required

Cut off welfare, promote feminism (raw raw girl power. Don't need no man like fish need bicycle)  and give women career. Because industrious women tend to have less kids or no kids at all. They're too busy focus on their careers. As time lapses, we know women have this thing call "biological clock." At the age of 35 (generally speaking) they hit the wall and their beauty and physical values is perceived as "undesirable."  Hence, no or less kids.

that is quite alarming.  No wonder you see so many Filipinas open their treasure chests to even the most degenerate white sexpats.

It’s about the mental capacity to control your animal spirits. Without this capacity it’s channeled towards behavior that provides only short-term rewards but results in larger longterm costs.

well, men always used their little head over the big one.

The government doesn't mind. They get more future workers and a class of voters that depending on welfare to increase government's power. As for the men who get these women pregnant, they are forced to become work horses in order to pay off child support, alimony, and court fees.

Then we have kids that are born out of wedlock tend to end up in prison because lack of a father around to teach them what's right and wrong. I work in a predominantly black neighborhood and I watch this played out. Say what you want about Confucius, but his teaching of maintaining the hierarchy of  family and marriage is spot on. Western society is falling because of feminism that aims to destroy the traditional nuclear family and gender roles.

So believing in Haysuz vs Confucius is the reason for the the Philippines´ downfall? Sounds like BS deduction to me.  Philippines´corruption is the root cause but the corruption in the Philippines and Vietnam have two different pathways.  The Vietnamese communist corruption is all about trying to make as much business deals as possible then skimming off of liaison fees while the Filipino corruption is about trying to appease the lower classes while getting rich from external governments´payoff from countries like China, USA, and Japan.  I think communist corruption wins in this situation because this form of corruption encourages global outreach and internal restructuring.
