A TV host sparked a huge race row between Brazil and South Korea after making 'jokes' about a band and a youngster appearing on his show.

Presenter Raul Gil, from Brazil, created an online Twitter war between the two countries after he directed a racially insensitive jibe towards KARD, a South Korean K-pop band.

At first, Gil engaged the band members in light-hearted conversation. But it took a dark turn after he asked if they were single.

As the crowd cheered, Gil stepped forward and asked his audience why they were reacting in such a way, before apparently making a 'slant-eye' gesture.

According to the BBC, Gil then later made a similar 'joke' about a Japanese youngster who was also appearing on the programme.

In 2009, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics reported that 1.6 million people of Japanese descent were living in Brazil.

It is home to the largest Japanese population outside of Japan. There are also thought to be around 50,000 people of Korean descent living in the country.

Viewers have condemned his 'racist' actions, while some have turned on the TV host.

One wrote: "That presenter is so fat... vulgar human."

Another user suggested that Koreans prefer people with lighter skin tones and referred to an incident in April 2017 where a South Korean TV show featured a character on a comedy show in blackface.

Since the gesture and comments were made on-air by Gil, the hashtag #DoYouWantKorea  has started trending on Twitter.

"In Korea, [there is] blackface on TV, and mixed race people suffer prejudice. They want to spread their prejudice, so we decided to retaliate in a comical way.

"We didn't expect it to be so big. But Brazilians on the Internet are very active, and so is the K-pop community.

The Japanese supposedly have high IQ yet most overseas Japanese live in the festering cesspool that is Brazil.  Or was this emigration happened when their IQ was still low?

Brazil is a White worshipping country and think they are Europeans.
The Koreans should have announced on the microphone "that is disgusting and racist behaviour" then smash the microphone on the floor and walk off. I would have done that.

Korean men wear the most make up in the world.  A bunch of sissies are not going to fight against injustices.  Koreans, when they got looted in 1992 in LA, took out their guns and defended their turf.  One generation later they become a bunch of pussies obsessed with foundation and eyebrow coloring.  Vietnamese better wise up and stop copying these weak azzes.

Here’s a novel stat: South Korea accounts for about 20% of the world market for men’s cosmetics. This means annual sales of more than $1 billion courtesy of a mere 25 million men, and this figure will inflate by 50% over the next five years. On a per capita level, Korean men have everyone beat. Why? Because “appearance is power” and “youth equals ability.”
We’re not just talking skin lotions or aftershave here. Korean urbanites are also smitten with BB Cream, brow pencils and guyliner. Girlfriends and spouses not only shop cosmetics for their male partners in Seoul, but also casually apply lipstick to their faces in public without anyone sharpening the proverbial pitchforks.
That said, shouldn’t gender-bending be a complete no-no in the deeply Confucian culture of Korea? Also, befitting its two years of mandatory military service for young men, shouldn’t Korea’s benchmark for masculine beauty be the hardy, rugged type? Like Clark Gable? Even Bruce Lee? While that was once true, South Koreans now prize the puckish, Peter Pan look over Gerard Butler-esque alpha male chic.
