Title: Should "Vietnamesoid" be the ultimate Southeast Asian phenotype?
Post by: Qu Đơn on September 13, 2017, 03:41:00 PM
I am not sure why Mongoloids are used as the defining feature of Eastern Asians.  Mongolians have extreme features which do not even resemble most Eastern Asian groups.  For those who want to keep using the word "mongoloid" I propose an alternative, Vietnamesoid, for all Eastern Asian groups in general but definitely makes more sense to cover all Southeast Asian groups.

Use in a sentence,

1. Pacquiao has Vietnamesoid features but he is 100% Fujipino.
2. This Psy fan from India does not look mongoloid at all, perhaps more Vietnamesoid with large eyes and sculptured jawlines.

Maybe create an average face of all Asians to see what they look like, then see which group falls in that average look and name all Asians that.  I think it the average look of Asians will be Thailoid.
