Running advice

I want to add jogging to my exercise repertoire.  The other day I jogged a mile and I got a sore leg for three days.  I want to keep it up but are you supposed to run with a sore leg?

I find that jogging around the neighborhood takes more effort than running on a tread mill.   On a treadmill I could go 30 minutes at a 5 miles/hour pace.  But actual jogging I'll last 1/2mile then walk to recover then jog 1/2 mile then roll on the grass.  How do I keep my stamina up?

I want to develop a 3 pack rolls like Strawberry.

Jogging/running will never give you developed abs.  I think jogging/running gives you back muscles because of the strain in the body trying to keep itself up.  Swimming toned my abs way better than running ever did because it involves using your core muscles to keep a streamline in the water.

When I run I feel some resistance in my abs.  The stomach muscles pulls in trying to keep your guts in.  I would think running would give your stomach more resistance than swimming as the muscles have to act against gravity and motion shock.

do resistance training, especially the TRX system, using your own body weight.  You can do it inside the kitchen while baking something good.  I would avoid going out in public just to jog.  The chance of getting shot is way too high these days to make it worthwhile.  I am going to cancel my gym membership and just convert my storage room into a small gym.

I got my six pack abs the right way by building a strong core in all three dimensions by utilizing various plank positions.  I don't need to go anywhere or spend countless of hours.

What if you are flabby, how do you get the fat out?  Wouldn't endurance training get your stomach lean to show some definition?

You don't have to do much physically to rid fats, specially fats around your waistline.  Cut back or eliminate wheat and grains from your diet and you'll see a leaner you in no time.  I know this is totally unlike what we've all heard before, but that's the honest truth.

I've seen patients losing 20,30 or even 50 lbs in as little as a few months from not consuming grains while not engaging in much exercises at all.

I don't eat that much wheat and grains, maybe just one bowl of rice/day.  I think the fat is coming from my pork belly dishes.

I don't eat that much wheat and grains either but I eat alot of rice.  Like when I make Vietnamese spring rolls I sometimes do a double layer.  And when the ingredients need to be strung out more I add two more pieces for more room to put stuff.  So 4 pieces instead of 1.  When I make Pho I use 2 servings of the rice noodles.  I love to quickly slurp up the hot noodles just as they are melting.  When they are all gone all I'm left is with soup so adding another serving made sense.

That is excellent.  Rice and millets do the least damages among grains, but still bad.  Context matters so what about from beers, snacks, dessert etc because they all contain grains if not just wheat.  Pork belly(or bacon) has mainly monounsaturated fats, and pork is arguably a "healthful" meat from a biochemical perspective. Pork fat also contains a novel form of phosphatidylcholine that possesses antioxidant activity superior to vitamin E.  I highly doubt pork contributed to your accumulative fats.  How much pork belly do you consume compare to grains/wheat in a day, months or years?

Just to be clear, healthy individuals have fats too.  The difference is, they have more brown adipose(fats).  Unhealthy people have less brown fats and more of the unhealthy kinds. Take a look where brown fats is distributed.  We know that brown fat can burn ordinary fat and that glucose is not a major source of fuel for these cells. When the cells run out of their own small repositories of fat, they suck fat out of the rest of the body.  This is exactly how paleo dieters drop weights by eating more healthy fats/less grains.

I drink maybe 1 beer/week, but I'm into whiskey one drink a day now.  Is whiskey distilled from wheat?  I also eat maybe one banh mi /week.   That's all of the grains tat I can think of that I eat.  Also, I eat pork belly dish maybe once/week. 

Perhaps it is the sedentary lifestyle that I'm leading.
