Fashion sense of young commies vs old commies

This is Trinh Xuan Thanh who VCP´s ninjas kidnapped from the streets of Germany to stand trial in Vietnam.



here he is back in Vietnam standing trial



In Germany, he seems to be wearing a pinstripe suit under a cashmere overcoat with grenadine silk tie, wool scarf and YSL shades.  The coat´s sleeves are just too long though and he should pick up some peccary leather gloves at Chelsea Farmers Club in Berlin to complete his outfit.  Even while standing trial, he´s wearing a Thom Browne or Lacoste track jacket.  Dude exudes style compared to the older commies.

the first generation of revolutionary commies were kind of stylish but the ones that came after them were just pure peasants...

Perhaps first generation commies were all educated in France? Or maybe revolutionaries are just more stylish.

That’s not stylish at all
Just pricey items thrown together, doesn’t even fit right or necessarily match

Okay but layering doesn't make sense depending on the climate. They don't do layering because it's just not practical. And layering just for the sake of layering doesn't make it stylish, especially when it doesn't match or fit right. You can look more stylish without layers.

it's hard  to don formal outfits in hot tropical weather. even western professionals wear short-sleeve button down shirts in vn.

What I've heard is that people layer themselves up to escape from the heat.  They don't go bare chested to cool down in the sun.

loose clothing helps in hot weather but you cover up keep cool and avoid sun damage. look at the big loose robes in the dessert arabs.

tight clothing in layers help in cold weather. I get cold easily so I always wear a nice tank top underneath my shirt, and then a sweater over the shirt, that helps preserve heat.

not exactly true.  Layering keeps you warm due to multiple air layers in between and has little to do with fit.  This is why with a quality down jacket or coat (made up of numerous air pockets), I can wear a thin cashmere turtleneck underneath going out in -10 C with my friends with no issues.  I do prefer a nice trim look in the summer also.  There are very nice form fitting linen trousers, with maybe 10% silk or wool blend, that can be very cool to wear in the summer.  Linen buttoned up long sleeve shirts are just perfect for summer as well as thin jackets and sweaters from pique, chambray and seersucker cottons.  Even in humid weather, sometimes it feels cooler to wear the right clothes than nothing at all.
