Duc Huy ex gf.

So tragically she died young.  Her voice was the best at the height of her career.

Rip ngoc lan.  I will forever remembered you as my daddy's favorite tune while we do long trips.

Almost like child abuse.  Had to listened to whatever songs my dad was jamming while we rode from nor Cal to southern.

I used to listen to this song 100 times/day.  She was the one singer that brings a lot of youths into Vietnamese music back then.

I'm going to listen to this song 100 more times today.

It takes a lot of creativity to write a song like this. John Lennon said he would carry around a note pad in his pocket 24/7 just so he can jot down a good tune at a moment notice whenever an inspiration flare up!

Kien Giang is 5 hrs drive from HCM city. It'll take another 5 hrs to get to Phu Quoc island. Kien Giang area is considerably more scenic than Nha Trang due to its location--the Gulf of Thailand!

Nha Trang beaches are very beautiful but monotonous landscape-wise.

I heard the tune on a holiday cookie box and have been looking for it for a while. This song is 250 y/o.

The Christmas carol "Adeste Fideles"—better known to most people as "O Come All Ye Faithful"—is one of the most beautifully written. Its precise origins are a mystery, but scholars say the song is at least 250 years old. Some have attributed the song to King John IV of Portugal (1604-1656), called "the musician-king," who composed a number of musical works during his reign and also compiled one of the world's largest musical libraries.

The Black Tai were one of the groups or clans that seem to have headed southeast rather than due south and settled initially in the Dien Bien Phu Valley of northwestern Vietnam – known to the Tai Dam as Muang Thaeng*, ‘The Land of God’!  A wide, fertile valley surrounded by low hills and probably when they arrived, only sparsely populated. Most Hmong, Dzao and other hill-tribes were yet to migrate here and the region was way too remote to interest the Vietnamese in the Red River Delta. Muang Thaeng was the royal seat of the Tai Dam kingdom of Sip Song Chu Tai, (loosely translated as 12 Tai lands). Apart from sporadic incursions by troops of the kings of Thailand, who had the habit of raiding these remote valleys and carting off the inhabitants to bolster their own populations in Central Plains towns, they lived probably pretty peaceably in the region up until the early 50s and the Indochina war.
