I typed in Vietnamese and this is what I got.

Same thing here.  Would you consider this Vietnamese, Hoa, or Chinese?  I typed in Chinese.

The second one is clearly Chinese. Narrow lips is northern feature.

The first one looks more SEA shifted on the lower part of her face. Somehow her eyeshape and thin eyebrows give me some sinid vibe. And her jawline is not common among Vietnamese people. I don't think she could represent the average Vietnamese you see on the streets of Vietnam.

The woman you classified as Chinese doesn't have narrow lips, she has full lips.  In fact if you observe the ratio of the lips to width of jaw they match.  But I don't think full lips necessarily make the defining phenotype of a Chinese.  I believe it's the eyes.  The eyes of the pregnant woman look Japanese.

I discovered the second photo was only one of a selected photo set.  Artificial intelligence helped me in this search.  As you can see by the photo in the article used it is the same person.

The article lists Mekong river as the origin place of sushi right before we know sushi as such.

They both look Vietnamese to me. 

The first person looks Northern Vietnamese with the square face and flat nose.



The second looks Chinese mix.  Although she looks like Toc Tien.

Southern Chinese has partial Austronesian ancestry. Do you think Duterte's nose is typical for all Chinese?

I am not qualified to say what a Vietnanemese nose looks like since I don't live in Vietnam but from the few Vietnamese acquaintances I know, you have sharp looking noses.

Wouldn't you agree that Vietnamese have Japanese looking eyes.  I don't care about the nose.  After all it is just the nose.  But the eyes I do care.  I quite identify with a person when I see that they have eyes like mine but if they have different looking eyes then I can't quite identify with them.

Vietnamese have an intermediate look between the Japanese eyes and the Malay eyes.
