Most Latin American countries did well in the 1960s.  The average GDP per capita of Latin America was three times higher than East Asia in the 1960s.  The Philippines was the richest country in Southeast Asia for much of this decade.  And Asian people the term "pearl of the orient" was in reference to Manila not Bangkok or Tokyo.  Then thirdworldification happened.

The one country I strongly believe will go this way is Singapore.  It has a very racist Chinese minority ruling a part of land rightfully belonged to Malays.  The country imported slave workers some of whom managed to stay behind since most of them come from neighboring Malay stock.  The resentment keeps building as no one trusts the Chinese.  I give Singapore 20 years before it collapses like Venezuela.  These post-collapse Chinese refugees will go back to China and write memoirs of their time during the Crazy Rich Asian era.

I know that story too.  Venezuela was rich until mismanagement.  It goes to show that unless you are truly a technocrat you have no business in the business of running countries.
No mystery to "made in China 2025", we are just destined to be top, that's how strong we are

But we are recovering though our growth rate in ASEAN is now second to Vietnam and your predictions are coming true. Recently, Singapore's economy shrank by 3.4%.

the reason why singapore is rich is because of their geographical location.
chinese, korean, Japanese, american & international ships passes there..

malaysia just need to set up another shipping port stop where they will force international ships to stop by instead of singapore.

oh yeah. we can always block singapore. they will collapse within months without access to the international shipping lanes.
