Do these mestizos have any relation with Wokou?

The chief Wokou; Koxinga of the Kingdom of Tungning, was himself a a Ming loyalist and half Japanese and half Chinese.

They had one thing in common in that they swore allegiance to the fallen Ming and were maritime pirates.

They never settled in nor visit Vietnam so why mentioning them here?

Its' an umbrella term, Wokou, actually if you check the reference I cited you would see that they did settle in the Central parts of Vietnam.

He was but his real name, Zheng Chenggong, was used, not his nickname Koxinga.
