Why Filipinos don´t monopolize English teaching in Asia?
« on: January 19, 2020, 01:45:39 AM »
Vietnam is increasingly turning to Filipinos for English language learning.  The Koreans and Chinese still hire Eastern Europeans.  Filipinos are like English learning gold mines.

Actually, we already have alot of Korean customers.

But with the Chinese, hardly any. They are often so self-centered to try to learn a foreign language.

We are also transforming Zamboanga City, a place where people still speak a Creole language of Spanish, as tourism spot and contact zone for Spanish speaking Latinos. Many Mexicans are now rediscovering Zamboanga and are  speaking Spanish to Chavacano speakers who can sorta understand their language since 70% of Chavacano is Mexican-Spanish in origin.

(The Spanish speaking Mexican man and Chavacano speaking Filipino man actually look similar, I suspect that the Filipino actually have Mexican ancestry down his line too)

Now, if we can only channel our expertise in Chinese and Arabic...

(The oldest Chinatown in Southeast Asia is Binondo)

While we have 3 Sultanates in the South using the Arabic language in Royal and Liturgical ceremonies)

We could be a translation and transcription gold mine with the languages we know.

But we are too dumb and closed minded to capitalize on this, that's why Vietnam is growing at a faster rate than the Philippines.
