Their shows looks like it was made in the early 2000's. Isn't the Philippines supposed to be a industrialized nation?

I have noticed this too.  Not just the Philippines but Thailand as well when compared to Vietnam.  Reasons include:

1.  Hardwares for stage lighting, sound and visual production like cameras and filming drones are mainly pirated directly from China so cost less.  Thailand and the Philippines can´t do this because they don´t share an easy crossing border with China.  Vietnam is right next to the most tech savvy part of China also, namely the Hong Kong-Shenzhen area.  I have seen videos on youtube of poor peasant farmers from Sapa crusing around in $100 electric motorcycles.  There is just an abudance of products for dirt cheap that Vietnamese can buy direct or secondhand from China or local Vietnamese vendors with an importing business.

2. Media entertainment in Vietnam is mainly government operated; they have incentives to make the shows more attractive so comrades don´t lurk Vietrealm and read about their low GDP and human rights abuses.

3. the marketing aspect of entertainment is now mainly private driven (while content and structure government directed) in the model of Korean entertainment, with long term goal of export across Asean borders.  You can see they begin to allow many types of foreigners on the show and even in films.  Copying Korea also gives them a threshold as to content quality.  The other Asean countries don´t care about this.  Vietnam is very typical of a Sinosphere country that uses copying as a form of learning; this is not entirely bad when the model they try to copy has worked for other countries.  Thailand for example has an auto industry due to eager Japanese investment not because it desired to.  Vietnam wants an auto industry as a long term supply chain for manufacturing bigger things like trucks, boats and eventually airplanes.

4. The philippines is not a centralized state and their own population is separated by cultures and languages much like India.  It´s harder to produce content with many viewers when they have various backgrounds for cultural references.  The shared identity among Filipinos is just not there to sustain a large audience for entertainment.  Many Filipinos are also English savvy, which further decreases the potential audience for private driven mass marketing of products through the media.  I suspect many high spending Filipinos mainly watch English based content than locallly produced content.  Without the support of this important customer base, their entertainment will not be profitable.  A good example is Vietnamese soccer, now that it attracts a large audience base, the teams have incentives to improve performance in the future.  Pinoy national soccer matches have like 50 people watching.
