History of Red flag, Yellow Star
« on: November 22, 2020, 10:47:24 AM »
The Flag first appeared in 1940 in South Western Region of Vietnam,  My Tho. It was designed by a S.Vietnamese.

Cochinchina uprising (Nam Kỳ khởi nghĩa) was an armed uprising against the French and Japanese by the South Vietnamese (at that time known as Cochinchina) in 1940, led by the Indochinese Communist Party.

Hỡi những ai máu đỏ da vàng
Hãy chiến đấu dưới cờ thiêng Tổ quốc
Nền cờ thắm máu đào vì nước
Sao vàng tươi, da của giống nòi
Đứng lên mau hồn nước gọi ta rồi
Hỡi sỹ nông công thương binh
Đoàn kết lại như sao vàng năm cánh.

Of whom whose red blood golden skin
Rise up and fight for our nation under this flag
Red blood soaked this flag, for our nation
Brighten yellow star, the color skin of our people
Hastely arise, our nation is calling us
O intelectual, soldiers, farmers, laborers,  merchants
Unified like the five corners of a star

This flag originated from the South, but it went north. And back to South. It can be seen @Dien Bien Phu, during HCM declaration of independence, and then back to South again in the socalled Vietnam war.

It was NOT copied from China. This flag existed in 1940, was officially adopted in 1945 by HCM. The Chinese flag came about in 1949. It was not a North Vietnanese flag, it was first appeared in the South in the Cochinchina uprising.

What a beautiful South Vietnamese Flag, accompanied by beautiful poem, created by a Southerner.  -kissyface

Quote
The flag was designed by Nguyễn Hữu Tiến[citation needed], a communist revolutionary of the 1940 Cochinchina Uprising ("Nam Kỳ Khởi nghĩa") against French colonialism, when the flag was seen on the first time. The uprising failed, and Tiến was arrested and executed along with other leaders of the uprising. The Western heraldic blazon is Gules, a mullet Or. The five points of the star represents peasants, workers, intellectuals, traders, and soldiers working together to build a socialist state; while the red background represents the blood and toil of the people to achieve revolution.[1]

You VNCH didn't know that? ARE YOU EVEN VIETNAMESE, BEIS?!
