The other day I ordered a heating element for a Masterbuilt electric smoker.  When the part arrived there was a 'made in Vietnam' sticker on it.

Vietnam shoud definitely hitting China where it hurts by churning out fake Huaweis...

VN is now making the small components that go into manufactured products.  Usually VN only assembles the product but import components from elsewhere. 

What this shows is that VN can build products from the ground up.  It does not have to rely on foreign investments in designing and creating new products anymore.  Small designers and manufacturers can order components inhouse in small quantities thus reducing cost and and increase competitiveness.  They could even export those components to China even.

They have the IQ to be rich that is for sure.  The more they make themselves the richer they become.  But some stupid policies can easily put a U turn in everything.  The decision to invade South Vietnam made them poor for 50 years now.  The North would not be as nearly poor as it is now if they would just let South Vietnam industrialize in peace.
