Why couldn't Vietnamese ballad be like this?

To me a ballad doesn't have a repeated melody or tune.  The Vpop ballards of today are pretty much monotonic and doesn't match the lyrics with the tones of Vietnamese language.

This song has tones that go with Vietnamese language.

That’s Asian music. If you take western music ie hip hoop and adapt it the you get this. The tone doesn’t match the tune.
